Meet the Artist

Welcome to my studio. I’m Elaine Anderson—an artist, educator, and lifelong creative inspired by the beauty of everyday life and the places I explore. Art has been part of my story for as long as I can remember, shaped by curiosity, observation, and a deep love for color and creative expression.

I live in Lexington, South Carolina, where I grew up around Lake Murray and spent many days traveling to the coast and mountains - places that continue to influence my work. Travel, photography, music, and time with friends and family all inspire the way I see the world. I’m drawn to both wide-open landscapes and quiet, ordinary moments, always looking for beauty in unexpected places.

I mostly create vibrant waterscapes and landscapes using acrylic paint, often layered with gold leaf, pencil, and oil pastel. My work is inspired by God’s creations—sunrises, sunsets, oceans, marshes, and abstract forms—and reflects my desire to share joy and wonder through art.
